How Kipton decides what to save

When you send a message in Chat, Kipton works out whether you're telling it something or asking it something.

  • Statements are saved. "My passport expires in March 2029" becomes a memory.
  • Questions are answered. "When does my passport expire?" gets an answer from your memories, and the question itself isn't saved.
  • You can be direct. Start a message with "Remember that…" to tell Kipton to save it.

Everything you save shows up in your memory list, where you can open it, edit it, or delete it. If Kipton saved something you didn't mean to keep, just delete it. See Edit or delete a memory.

Folders

If you use folders, Kipton can file new memories into a folder when one clearly fits. Kipton never creates folders on its own. To turn this off, go to Settings → Personalization and switch off "Let AI file new memories into my folders."
